Co-Chair Bios

Adam Dehrey, Young Leader Co-Chair

Adam Dehrey became an active member of Jewish Family Service Young Leaders shortly after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015 through 2017. After moving to New York for a few years, he returned to Los Angeles and JFS’s Young Leaders and has been involved with the Executive Committee since 2022. Adam’s ties to Jewish Family Service run deep. His mother, Susan Forer-Dehrey, worked at JFS for 38-years, including as Executive Vice President. His exposure to the agency from a young age taught him the importance of being involved in and serving the local community around him. Throughout his upbringing, Adam was a volunteer for JFS programs such as Cafe Europa, Family Friends, SOVA, Tools for School, as well as was a counselor for BJE’s March of the Living. In addition to serving on the Young Leaders Executive Committee, Adam volunteers at JFS’s SOVA location on Kings Road in West Hollywood. Adam is a Real Estate Agent at The Agency in Beverly Hills. He enjoys spending time with his partner, Sophie, and their dog, Lainey, as well as running, having completed the Los Angeles and New York City marathons, hiking, road trips, and exploring L.A. for restaurants and art galleries.

Rochell Rottenberg, Young Leader Co-Chair

Rochell Rottenberg has been an active member of Jewish Family Service LA (JFSLA) since childhood, where she first began volunteering with SOVA for her Mitzvah Project. Since 2019, she has been an active member of the Young Leader cohort, delivering groceries to JFSLA clients, organizing new member events and co-leading projects like the Jewish Family Recipes Cookbook. JFSLA played a crucial role in her parents' move from Ukraine to Los Angeles over 35 years ago, inspiring her dedication to service and community in LA. Rochell works in corporate partnership development at LA Phil, overseeing brand activations in LA's most iconic music venues. She also advises on brand partnerships and events for the LA-based social platform, Camber App. In her free time, Rochell enjoys hosting dinner parties, traveling with friends, and spending time with (arguably) the most adorable niece and nephews in the world.
